Dear participants - athletes, officials, partners and guests,

It is with great pleasure to welcome you on behalf of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) on the occasion of the 9. European Universities Tennis Championship here in Bar.

I would like to thank you for your interest and commitment to take part in our Championship, which has already attracted substantial interest from several European universities which will be participating. I would also like to recognise the work the Organizing Committee has done regarding the organisation of this important event.

The history of the European Universitites Championships goes back to 2001 when the first events were organised. In 2012 the 1st European Universities Games were successfully held in Cordoba, signaling the new era of alternating European Universities Championships and European Universities Games.

Success of the event depends on you - the participants, and the work and devotion of the Organizing Committees and local Authorities which together with EUSA representatives and delegates make the Championship an unforgettable experience.

Our activities go well beyond just sports competitions and are only possible due to the immense level of support and encouragement we receive from our National University Sports Associations, participation of University teams across Europe and involvement of EUSA staff and representatives. I also have to acknowledge the continuous support of our partners, especially cooperation with International University Sports Federation (FISU) and also other partner organisations.

I am certain that the athletes taking part in this event will enjoy the Championship and that they will compete with their best results in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere, at the same time making new friends and experiencing new cultures.

May the competitions be governed by fair play and reflect the true spirit of university sport and best of luck to everyone.

It is a great pleasure to invite and welcome all athletes, officials and guests to the European Universities Tennis Championship in Bar – Montenegro 2013.

In its long and rich history, Montenegro always knew to recognize true values and values are not just material but its maturity and its skill to build its way to European integrations on lasting and universal principle of frankness and co-existence, as old European country. Therefore we always greeted guests with a joy and open heart especially sportsmen from all meridians. We were and we will be a good host worthy of glorious Montenegrin tradition to all.

We are convinced that all participants will experience an event characteristic by high level sport, international exchange and a lovely atmosphere. As a young member of EUSA and as a country we will do everything to make top-level organization and you to have nice memories from this competition.

We greet you once again and we believe that during your staying in Montenegro you will feel as at your own home.
